Bolovens Red Pepper is powerful, fresh, with an incisive spiciness and a long finish. Red peppercorns are green peppercorns that have been left longer on the vine. They retain their colour during drying, and are the sweetest and most expensive variety due to their longer maturation and selective harvesting. Pepper experts describe this red pepper as exceptional for its size and its fruity, ginger biscuit and date aromas. Pepper is best purchased as whole peppercorns, as freshly ground pepper is vastly superior to the ready ground powder. Whole peppercorns retain their flavour indefinitely but quickly lose their aroma and heat after grinding. Glass jar with twist-off lid (thus preventing the contact with the air and foreign elements).
